MathInsight AI processes account and usage information to operate the service. This summary describes the current application's intended behavior.

Information collected

We store your email, password hash, email verification status, account plan, question balances, purchase and refund identifiers, and limited security and usage records. For account creation we record confirmation of being age 13 or older; we do not request a date of birth. The Math service does not provide a student progress dashboard or a stored lesson history.

Problem inputs and AI

Text and uploaded math problem images are transmitted to our AI service provider to generate and check explanations. A completed answer can be cached for up to 15 minutes to prevent duplicate charges on retries. Expired cached lesson content is normally cleared by periodic cleanup approximately every five minutes, and may take longer if cleanup fails. Do not submit identifying or confidential material in problem images.

Payment and email providers

Stripe handles payment details, subscriptions and its customer portal. We store relevant Stripe account, subscription, invoice and event IDs to reconcile credits and payment reversals. Brevo is used to deliver account verification and password reset emails; it receives your email address and message content.

Security and retention

Security, account, and billing ledger records are retained as needed to provide the service, prevent duplicate transactions, investigate abuse, and meet applicable financial obligations. You can request deletion in your account; staff reviews active subscriptions and legally required financial records before final removal. Actual retention periods may depend on legal obligations.
